IMPORTANT NOTICE: Daylight saving time will affect settlement timing and device terminal display times in select regions.

Due to Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario and the Northwest Territories remaining on daylight saving time year-round, businesses in these regions may see a change in settlement timing for credit card transactions processed after 11:59 p.m., effective November 1, 2026.

There will be no impact on debit transactions.

Moneris' processing system operates on Eastern Time (ET). As a result, transactions processed after 11:59 p.m. ET may be held for settlement until the next calendar day.

The impact will depend on when transactions are processed and batches are closed.

Transactions processed by 11:59 p.m. ET will continue to follow the current settlement schedule and will not be affected.

Beginning November 1, display clocks on devices in affected regions may temporarily be one hour behind local time. Devices will continue to function normally, and receipt timestamps will show the correct local time.

Transaction processing is not expected to be affected. Firmware updates are underway to correct the display clock issue.

No action is required at this time for either update.
