The certification highlights Moneris’ commitment to service availability and minimizing the effects of disruptive incidents

Toronto, ON – December,14 2022 – Moneris Solutions Corporation (“Moneris”), a Canadian leader in unified payment solutions, announced it has achieved certification against the International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) 22301:2019 standard. Recognizing an organization’s resilience, and business continuity practices, this certification confirms Moneris’ preparedness for incidents that could result in a business or service disruption.

ISO 22301 is an internationally recognized standard framework for an organization to design, implement, and continually improve its Business Continuity Management System (BCMS). An effective BCMS helps businesses recognize and continually deliver on the needs of its stakeholders by enabling it to respond to minor or major incidents in a planned and effective manner. To be certified, an organization must undergo an independent assessment against the standard by an external party. The assessment covers various areas of the discipline of business continuity and resilience, taking into consideration the readiness of all processes, people, premises, and technology. Thereafter, annual reviews are conducted to ensure ongoing compliance of the management system.

“Customer trust and peace of mind are critical for our business and achieving ISO 22301 certification emphasizes Moneris’ readiness to operate effectively, assess potential threats and address them with efficiency and flexibility,” said Brian Prentice, Chief Risk Officer of Moneris. “Being ready to address potential business disruptions is something our merchants expect and hold us accountable for. This certification helps emphasize our preparedness to keep operations running as smoothly as possible.”
