Small businesses are the heartbeat of our communities. They create jobs, foster local connections, and often lead the way in giving back. Small businesses across Canada have come together to support families with sick children. Through the Good for Small program, Moneris and its small business customers donated $250,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada in 2025. This contribution will provide 1,004 nights of accommodation for families staying close to hospitals.
Here are the merchants who made this possible:

Each donation helps families focus on their child’s recovery without worrying about accommodation costs.
RMHC Canada operates 35 Ronald McDonald Houses and Family Rooms across the country, providing a home-away-from-home for families with seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. These spaces offer more than shelter—they provide meals, mental health and wellness programs, and sibling support, ensuring families can focus on what matters most: caring for their child.
Every donation helped keep families together during tough times.
This commitment builds on last year’s success. In 2024, small businesses partnered with Moneris to donate $200,000 to RMHC Canada, funding hundreds of nights for families nationwide.
Kate Horton, President & CEO of RMHC Canada, shared:
“Thanks to the generous spirit and unwavering support of small businesses in Canada, together with Moneris, more sick children had access to what they needed most – their families.”
When small businesses gave back, the impact extended far beyond the walls of Ronald McDonald Houses. It strengthened community bonds, inspired other businesses to join in, and reminded us that even in challenging times, kindness prevailed.
From local restaurants to family-run shops, these businesses proved that doing good is good for business—and for the soul.
