How to start accepting higher contactless rates.

1

Re-initialize your terminal

To start accepting higher-value contactless transactions on your standalone terminal(s), you’ll be required to re-initialize it. Review our guide for step-by-step instructions.

2

Modify your POS solution

In order for you to accept the new contactless limits, you may need to contact your POS software solution provider or integrator so they can make the necessary modifications to your POS solution(s).

3

Direct customers to card issuers

While card brands have made these changes, the contactless limit is set by card issuers, and they may set their own contactless thresholds. If a customer is unclear why they cannot tap up to $250, advise them to contact their card issuer at the number on the back of their card.
