We are transitioning our backend systems across several dates to serve you better. In order to ensure a seamless migration for your account, please follow these instructions:
For merchants who close batches manually:
Close batch files before 11:59 pm your local time on the dates provided to you by email or in your Merchant Direct Statement. Complete any outstanding pre-authorization transactions prior to closing the batch. For instructions on closing batches and pre-authorization transactions, please see our Support page.
For merchants who close batches automatically:
For merchants who close batches automatically: Complete any outstanding pre-authorization transactions before 11:59 pm your local time on the dates provided to you by email or in your Merchant Direct Statement. For instructions on completing pre-authorization transactions, please see our Support page.
• Multiple Terminal Batch Close: If you are using a single terminal to close multiple terminals and have separate areas grouped
(e.g. bar, patio, restaurant), you must close all other groupings first before closing the group the terminal in use belongs to. For
example, if you are in the bar, close the patio and restaurant groups first and then the bar area terminals.
• Initialization Request: An initialization request will appear for merchants using iCT250, VX520, VX820 devices. For help initializing
your device, please see the Moneris Terminal Initialization Quick Reference.
Why we’re doing this:
In 2018, Moneris began a multi-year program focused on a number of improvements across our transaction processing environments, including the replacement of our authorization host system. We will be making updates to your account to implement the security, availability and scalability these program improvements provide.
