Welcome to School Where Brunch is Always in Session

If you’re a brunch lover in Toronto, chances are you’ve heard of School. And if you haven’t, consider this your homework. Located in Liberty Village, this all-day brunch spot is famous for its bold flavours, playful schoolhouse theme, and dedication to indulgence. Their sky-high stacks of pancakes, crispy fried chicken, and more create an atmosphere that’s part nostalgic classroom, part cool-kid hangout. It’s no surprise that School has become a go-to for foodies, Instagrammers, and anyone who believes brunch should be fun. And as a proud Moneris merchant, School keeps the experience seamless with fast, reliable payments and top-tier service that let them focus on what really matters: serving up a crave-worthy brunch.

We caught up with Ingrid, one of the friendly faces behind the scenes at School, to talk about crowd favourites and what makes the School experience so memorable.

What’s the most popular dish at School?

The most popular dish is a toss-up between three items on the menu. The contenders are our buttermilk fried chicken and waffles, the black and blue flapjacks, and the super cheesy bacon French toast.

Can you describe the School experience in three emojis?

I’d definitely go with the chef’s kiss emoji 👨‍🍳, the pancake emoji 🥞, and the bacon emoji 🥓!

What’s your most Instagrammed dish?

Our black and blue flapjacks. They’re super photogenic, piled high with wild blueberries, whipped cream, and blueberry syrup. People love snapping them before digging in.

What’s your go-to order?

My go-to is the Kale Caesar Salad. It’s a vegan Caesar salad, and I add fried chicken.

If School were a person, how would you describe their personality?

If School were a person, its personality would resemble your best friend from high school. You might not see them very often, but you know it’s always a guaranteed good time.

If School had a theme song, what would it be and why?

The Magic School Bus. It just embodies nostalgia and gets you in the mood for a good time.

How’s your experience been with Moneris so far?

Honestly, it’s been lovely. They’re super reliable, and their customer service is top notch.

Final Bell: Why School Stands Out

From crave-worthy flapjacks to a one-of-a-kind brunch experience, School serves up way more than your average brunch. With its creative menu and its friendly team, it’s no wonder this Liberty Village gem has earned straight A’s from food lovers all over Toronto.

Whether you're in it for the syrupy stacks or just vibing with your high school bestie, School is a Toronto brunch staple you don’t want to skip.

My Experience: Top Marks All Around

This iconic brunch spot is playful, indulgent, and packed with personality. From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted by cheeky chalkboard menus, retro school-themed decor, and the heavenly smell of bacon and maple syrup in the air.

The playful schoolhouse-themed decor is a perfect mix of nostalgia and modern flair. What stood out to me was the spacious patio. On a sunny Toronto day, it felt like the ultimate spot to relax with good food surrounded by greenery and a welcoming atmosphere.

It has amazing energy that’s lively but never overwhelming. The music was upbeat and fun, setting the perfect tone without drowning out conversation. It’s exactly the kind of place where you want to linger.

The food definitely makes the grade. From generous portions of fried chicken and waffles to beautifully presented pancakes bursting with fresh berries, every dish feels thoughtfully crafted and packed with flavour.

From the warm atmosphere to the mouthwatering dishes, everything came together perfectly. If you’re a brunch lover looking for a spot that combines great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere, you’ve got a reason to go back to School

Just a heads up: It gets busy, especially on weekends, so make a reservation ahead of time to secure your spot.
