  • Similar to our classic Merchant Direct platform, Merchant Direct v2 is free for all users.

    There is no fee or cost associated with this migration.

  • To ensure a hassle-free transition for all existing Merchant Direct users, Merchant Direct v2 is being rolled out in phases.

    Once your account is ready, you will receive an email notification, including instructions via your Merchant Direct Message Centre with easy-to-follow steps and temporary credentials to get you started. Once you have completed the registration process, you are ready to use the new Merchant Direct v2 platform.

    Tip 1: Make sure to use one of the supported browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.

    Tip 2: Bookmark the Merchant Direct v2 URL for easy access.

     

  • You are finally ready to migrate to Merchant Direct v2! Visit your Message Centre within your classic Merchant Direct account and open the message, “Your new Merchant Direct has arrived!” This message will contain easy-to-follow steps and temporary credentials to help you start setting up your new Merchant Direct v2 account.

    Once you complete your registration, you will have immediate access to all your day-to-day reporting. Note that once this migration process is complete, your classic Merchant Direct account will be restricted and then retired by the date provided in your migration email.

  • With a brand-new interface, Merchant Direct v2 has built in features and functionalities to help improve and enhance your overall user experience.

    Real-time reporting screens include:

    • Account selection: Select one or more accounts at a time, including chains and super chains (applicable to merchants with more than one account)
    • Near real-time transaction lookup: Look up transactions in near real-time without waiting for settlement
    • Column sort and filters: Sort results in ascending/descending order and apply filters to view only data that you want to see
    • Column resize/show/hide: Resize or show/hide columns on the report
    • Column visibility: Select specific columns you want to view on the report
    • Export options: Export and save entire reports or specific sections of reports to a CSV or a PDF file

    Our dynamic reporting engine works to enable filtering, sorting, and data suppression to enable you to customize the reporting output.

  • Until your migration is complete, you will be able to continue using your classic Merchant Direct account.

    However, once you have been invited to register for Merchant Direct v2, your existing Merchant Direct account will begin its retirement phase. This will come in the form of restricted access to some key features, along with an official retirement date for your classic account. After this date, you will no longer be able to use your classic Merchant Direct account.

  • As part of your migration to Merchant Direct v2, some key features have been restricted in your exiting account. Not to worry. If you have already completed your registration for Merchant Direct v2, simply log into your account.

    If you have not completed your registration yet, visit your Message Centre within your existing Merchant Direct account and open the message “Your new Merchant Direct has arrived!” This message contains easy-to-follow steps and temporary credentials to get you started.

  • As part of your migration to Merchant Direct v2, some key features have been restricted in your exiting account. Not to worry. If you have already completed your registration for Merchant Direct v2, simply log into your account.

    If you have not completed your registration yet, visit your Message Centre within your existing Merchant Direct account and open the message “Your new Merchant Direct has arrived!” This message contains easy-to-follow steps and temporary credentials to get you started.

    New Products and Supplies can be purchased directly via your Merchant Direct v2 account.

    Note: Ordering New Card Plans will be available later in 2023.

  • If you are unable to locate your registration email notification and there is no notice in your Message Centre, or you suspect the message was deleted accidentally, please contact our support centre via Moneris.com/Support/Contact for further assistance.

  • As part of your migration to Merchant Direct v2, some accesses have been restricted in your exiting account. Not to worry. If you have already completed your registration for Merchant Direct v2, simply log into your Merchant Direct v2 account.

    If you have not completed your registration yet, visit your Message Centre within your existing Merchant Direct account and open the message “Your new Merchant Direct has arrived!” This message contains easy-to-follow steps and temporary credentials to get you started.   • If your registration link is not working, log into your existing Merchant Direct account once again to restart the process. If this option is unsuccessful, please contact our support centre via Moneris.com/Support/Contact for further assistance.

  • The new Merchant Direct v2 platform has a refreshed homepage with left navigation menu, while the original Merchant Direct layout has a basic tile-based homepage without a left navigation menu.

  • The Self-Serve Refund functionality is currently available for settled transactions only. To process a refund, select "Settled Transaction" from the "Find a Transaction Module".

    Note: Real time refunds or Pre-Auth reversals are not currently available via Merchant Direct.
