Enabling Tip Entry gives your customers the option to enter a Tip on the terminal during a gift Purchase transaction. (Tip entry is generally used in service-based industries.)
From the READY screen:

1. Press the
key.
The MAIN MENU appears.
2. Scroll down to ERNEX, and press the
key.
The ERNEX menu appears.
3. Scroll up to SETUP, and press the
key.
The SETUP menu appears.
4. Scroll up to TIP ENTRY, and press
the
key.
The ENABLE TIP? prompt appears.
5. Press the
key (YES) to enable Tip prompting. OR Press
the
key (NO) to disable Tip prompting.
The SETUP menu appears.
6. Press the
key repeatedly to return to the READY screen.
Optional prompts:
To define one (1) default tip percentage, configure the Tip Percentage parameter.
To enable enhanced tip prompts and to define up to three (3) default tip percentages, configure the Enhanced Tip Prompting parameter.
