After careful review and consideration of changing business priorities, Moneris® will no longer be supporting the Moneris AIR MILES®† Reward Miles Program, effective December 1, 2017. As a result, your Moneris AIR MILES Reward Miles Program Schedule will terminate the same day, and you will no longer be able to perform Program transactions or issue AIR MILES to customers at that time.

Q: Why is Moneris no longer supporting the AIR MILES Reward Program?
A: The decision to no longer support the Moneris AIR MILES®† Reward Program came after careful review and consideration of our changing business priorities.
Q: What does the termination of my Moneris AIR MILES Reward Miles Program Schedule mean for my business?
A: Effective December 1, 2017, you will no longer be able to accept Program transactions, perform purchases, refunds or voids of AIR MILES, or use the AIR MILES trade-marks specified in the Schedule. For more information on the specific impacts to your business, please refer to the Terms and Conditions of your Schedule here.
Q: Will Moneris be offering another Loyalty Program in its place?
A: Providing businesses with effective and high value loyalty offerings is important to us. We are always looking for ways to help your business reward customers and build loyalty to your brand. For a current list of our customer rewards programs, please visit moneris.com/gift.
Q: What is the last day I can issue AIR MILES to customers?
A: You will be able to issue AIR MILES to customers up until 11:59PM EST on November 30, 2017. Please note, you are responsible for any fees owed to Moneris for Program transactions up until this time.
Q: Do I have to do anything on my end as a result of this announcement?
A: We recommend the removal of any AIR MILES Collector enrollment forms or other AIR MILES branded materials from your store display, checkout counter, in bill presenters and on your website, at a suitable time.
Q: When do I need to remove AIR MILES branded material by?
A: To align with the termination date, please ensure that there is no AIR MILES branded material visible to customers following November 30, 2017.
Q: Are there any software changes I need to implement on my terminal?
A: As a result of the Program’s termination, the terminals listed below will require re-initialization. At 12:00AM EST on December 1, 2017, merchants using the impacted terminals below will be prompted to re-initialize their terminal. Please see the following links for a set of easy-to-follow re-initialization steps by terminal:

Q: Will customers still be able to redeem AIR MILES they collected prior to the Program’s termination date after December 1st?
A: Yes, Collectors can redeem AIR MILES collected prior to the Program’s termination date indefinitely. Collectors can visit airmiles.ca to use their Miles towards rewards they love or to learn more about the Program.
Q: What happens if a customer asks for a refund on a purchase made before December 1st, following the Program’s termination date? Am I able to refund the AIR MILES collected on that purchase?
A: Customers who request a refund on a purchase made before December 1st, following the Program’s termination date, will keep the AIR MILES they collected from that purchase.
Q: Am I able to sign up a second business location for the Moneris AIR MILES Reward Miles Program before the Program’s termination date?
A: It is advised that you do not sign up any other business locations for the Moneris AIR MILES Reward Miles Program leading up to the Program’s termination date.
Q: How can my business continue to issue AIR MILES to customers after December 1st?
A: Please visit www.airmiles.ca to explore options for how your business can continue to offer AIR MILES to customers following the Program end date.
Q: Where can I collect my complimentary AIR MILES?
A: You will be given instructions by email or telephone in regards to collecting your complimentary AIR MILES.
Q: When’s the last day I can collect my complimentary AIR MILES?
A: You will be able to collect your complimentary AIR MILES up until November 30, 2017.
Q: When will my complimentary AIR MILES be deposited into my account?
A: The AIR MILES will be posted to your Collector Account within 120 business days following the date of collection.
