Why is Moneris retiring the Moneris Advantage Rewards Program?
After a thorough review, Moneris has decided to retire the Moneris Advantage Program. Moneris is looking to re-focus its efforts on other opportunities that offer value to our customers.
Will Moneris offer another Loyalty Program?
Moneris is currently evaluating other options. We will continue to look for other ways to reward and provide value to our customers.
Why wasn’t I notified about this change earlier?
The first notification was sent to you via email on August 15th, 2016 and explained the retirement of the program and the steps you needed to follow in order to take advantage of your Advantage Points. This communication contained a link to your Advantage Rewards profile (Merchant Direct User ID), which indicated that all Advantage Points would expire on January 5th, 2017. We will send additional reminders as the program gets closer to its end date.
How much longer can I earn points?
Points can be accumulated until September 30th 2016. The final points will be posted to your account on September 30th and will show points accumulated from your net credit card volume for the month of September, calculated in accordance with the terms and conditions of the program.
When will my points expire?
All Advantage Points will expire on January 5th, 2017.
How can I check my Advantage Points balance?
To view your Advantage Points balance, log-on to your Merchant Direct account here. On the home page, click on the “Advantage Rewards” link. You will be able to view your points balance and redemption options.
Can I still redeem my points?
Yes, Advantage Points can be redeemed until January 5th, 2017.
Where do I redeem my points?
Advantage Points can be redeemed through Merchant Direct. Simply select the number of Advantage Points that you want to redeem and a GIFTPASS® for that amount will be emailed to you. You can then redeem that GIFTPASS code on giftcertificates.caTM for the gift card(s) of your choice.
What can I redeem my points for?
Advantage Points can be redeemed for gift cards from a variety of major Canadian retailers through giftcertificates.ca (including but not limited to: The Keg®, Cineplex®, Best Buy®, Canadian Tire®, and Petro-Canada®).
I have less than 5,000 Advantage Points in my account, why am I unable to redeem them?
The minimum redemption level you can redeem is 5,000 points. You must have at least 5,000 points in order to redeem your Advantage Points. Any remaining points will expire on January 5th, 2017. Please view the terms and conditions page for more information.
What happens if I don’t want to redeem my points?
If you choose not to redeem your points, there is no action required on your end. The points will automatically expire on January 5th, 2017.
