The VX 520 supports two types of communication: dial and IP. These communication cables connect to the ports in the terminal's connection well.
The Dial Communications Cable
1. Open the connection well on the terminal.
2. Plug one end of the dial
communications cable into the port marked with the dial symbol (
).
3. Plug the other end of the dial communications cable into an analog telephone wall jack.
The Ethernet Communications Cable
1. Plug one end of the Ethernet communications cable into the ETH port.
2. Plug the other end of the Ethernet communications cable into a modem/router. Refer to the Public IP Readiness Checklist for more information.
