Gift & Loyalty Error Messages on the VX 520 Terminal

A message will appear on the display if an error occurs in the GIFT & LOYALTY application. In the table below, find the error message that appears on the terminal and try the solution. If the error message re-appears, contact Moneris Customer Care for assistance.

ERROR MESSAGE

PROBLEM & SOLUTION

811 SYSTEM ERROR PLEASE TRY LATER

The connection with the host was lost during the transaction processing and the transaction was not completed.

Call Moneris Customer Care.

 

Batch Balance – NO

If this message is printed on the batch summary report during an Gift & Loyalty Batch Close, contact Moneris Customer Care the next business day for reconciliation assistance.

 

Batch Full

The Gift & Loyalty batch is full and needs to be closed before any more transactions can be processed.

 

Card Not Supported

Your merchant account is not configured to accept the gift or loyalty card that was entered.

If desired, contact Moneris Customer Care to discuss how to add the card type to your merchant account.

 

CARD NOT IN BIN RANGE

The card type you swiped cannot be used for that transaction type.

OR

Your merchant account is not set up to accept the card type that was swiped.

Request another form of payment.

 

CARD READ ERROR

There is a problem with the magnetic stripe on the card that was swiped.

Try swiping the card again, this time more slowly or quickly, or from front of the terminal to the back.

If the message reappears request another form of payment.

 

Close Batch Failed

The connection with the host has been lost during batch close. Check the connections and try another batch close.

 

ERROR IN PRINTING

Open the printer, check that there is a paper roll and that the roll is loaded properly then close the printer.

 

Invalid Card Length

The card number entered or swiped is greater or less than the predefined limits for the card type. Check the number and try swiping/keying in again.

 

Must Swipe Gift Card

The terminal does not allow for manual entry of gift cards. Swipe the card instead.

 

NO MATCH FOUND

The information you have used to find a transaction in memory can not be found.

Check the information and try again.

 

No Manual Entry

The current transaction does not allow manual entry of the card number. Swipe the card instead.

 

NOT A LOYALTY CARD

The card swiped (or card number entered) during a Redemption transaction is not a loyalty card.

Check the card and try again.

 

Printer Error

Open the printer, check that there is a paper roll and that the roll is loaded properly then close the printer.

 

Record Not Found

You have attempted to retrieve a reference or account number that is not in the current batch. Check the number and try re-entering it.

 

Void Not Allowed

You tried to void a transaction that has already been voided.
