Current Verifone terminals have a digital certificate that will expire June 25, 2019. This impacts Vx520 and Vx820 terminals. When this certificate expires, the terminal may not function properly. To remedy this, please follow the instructions below to update the certificate and continue processing. If the password has been changed or your do not know it, please contact Moneris Customer Service at 1-866-319-7450 or your internal helpdesk.) From the Verifone Copyright screen, press Enter + 7 at the same to bring up the password screen. Enter the password. Press Enter when finished entering the password. NOTE: The password must be entered promptly. If it is not, the device will continue to reboot. When entering your password, you must wait for the corresponding asterisk * for each key entry to appear on the screen. If you type the password in too quickly you will not be able to log in. Select 2> Edit Parameters Where the screen says Group ID: 1, Press the Enter key Enter the password for Group 1 and press Enter. Where the screen says File: Config.SYS, press Enter. Press the 1>New key to create a new parameter. For the new parameter, enter *DHEAP Press 0 for the new Value. Press Enter to save the new parameter. Once the parameter has been entered, press the red X (cancel button) several times until you get to the Verix Terminal MGR screen. Once there, select Restart. The device should reboot and start to function normally. If your device stops rebooting, and stops loading VMAC after setting *DHEAP=0 follow these instructions: Follow the same steps above and instead of setting *DHEAP=0, set *DHEAP=2.
