November 21: Update on Cyber Security Incident

Toronto, Ontario, Canada – November 21, 2023 - As an update to our November 13 statement on an attempted ransomware attack, we can continue to confirm there are no malicious files within our environment and that payment processing environments remain secure.

Ongoing forensic analysis of the incident reveals that files were potentially accessed by the unauthorized party, including Moneris Merchant IDs and locations, issues logs, internal training materials, and names and postal addresses related to legacy gift cards.

We continue to work with our team and third-party cyber experts to analyze and assess the information that was accessed and take appropriate mitigation actions.

Cyber security, including the protection of our customers and their data, is our top priority. Our dedicated team of cyber risk experts took action to ensure this incident was quickly identified and contained.
