On the Main menu, tap Reports, Settings Reports, then Basic Terminal. The terminal displays the Basic Terminal report. View the report and print it if you wish. To print, tap Print or press 1 on the keypad. To clear the screen and go back to the Settings Reports menu, tap OK. How do I initialize my terminal? To initialize your terminal, use the “Sync with Moneris host” function. On the Main menu, tap Software Update, then tap Sync with Moneris Host. The terminal displays "Syncing your device, please wait" followed by "Sync completed successfully". Tap OK to acknowledge the message. The screen returns to the Software Update menu. Press the red Cancel key to return to the Main menu. How do I set up my terminal to process gift cards? How do I set up my terminal to process Moneris loyalty cards? Perform a Correction when: You need to cancel or void a Purchase or Refund transaction that was performed in the current open batch. When should I perform a Pre-authorization? When should I perform a Pre-Authorization Completion? Perform a Pre-authorization when: You need to authorize a temporary amount for a sale because you don’t know what the final amount will be, for example, at a hotel or car rental agency, or for a mail order or phone order. Perform a Pre-authorization Completion when: You know the final amount of the sale that was pre-authorized. Make sure you perform the Completion on the same terminal using the same card number as the original Pre-authorization.
