Advanced Verification Spyware
If your computer is infected with advanced verification spyware, a pop-up window may appear on your computer screen and will ask you to enter your debit or credit card, PIN or related account information which is immediately transmitted to a third-party. It may also give access to hackers who will be able to retrieve documents and information stored on your computer.

If you encounter this pop-up please do not process any transactions or enter credit card information on your system until you remove the virus from your system.
Help protect your business against spyware and viruses:
- Maintain updated virus software and conduct regular virus scans on your computers to help prevent these attacks. A legitimate online banking session will not require you to enter card and PIN information.
- Do not open any e-mail attachments from unknown sources. These attachments are often spyware and viruses that can infect your computer.
If any of your customers contact you in regards to this, please also direct them not to process a transaction until they have removed the virus from their system. If you have Verified by Visa /MasterCard SecureCode /CVD services please ensure that the customer is not referring to the the data entry screens that are legitimate for these services. The legitimate screens will not ask for the ATM PIN.
